Products Liability Litigation

For many years,  Mr. Appelman has successfully represented international manufacturing companies, such as aircraft, automobile and chemical manufacturers, in the defense of products liability actions involving both catastrophic injuries and commercial loss. He has extensive experience working with corporate legal and risk management staff in coordinating the investigation and defense of these cases. He is familiar with the procedures involved in document gathering and retention in large scale products liability litigation. Recently, Mr. Appelman successfully prosecuted a products liability action involving catastrophic burn injuries against an international manufacturer alleging and proving a safety flaw in the chemical company’s manufacturing process. He successfully resolved the defense of a product liability action in favor of an aircraft manufacturer arising out of the in-flight break up of a general aviation craft.
